black-and-white-overview

Black and White Overview

This course is designed to show photographers how to see the world in black and white, what makes a good black and white subject, how to visualize a scene in terms of tonal values and contrast rather then colour and shooting with long exposure.

Back at your hotel Serge will demonstrate how to convert from colour to black and white using Lightroom and Post Production techniques.

The Camargue is a haven for any lover of nature and the wild. Situated on the coast of Southern France, it consists of wonderfully unspoilt wetlands, natural lakes & marshland and exceptional wildlife.

Destined for intermediate photographers to experienced amateurs, Serge runs these workshops in an informal and relaxed manner, despite their informative and educational value. Serge participates in every workshop personally to be on hand for one to one advice and to respond to your every need, which is also why we keep the groups small to ensure everyone is guaranteed the maximum benefit. Serge's aim is to help everyone on the course improve their photography skills by getting the most out of their equipment, even if it's a small point to shoot camera. He also explains how to develop a photographic style 'vision' and not forgetting how to make the most of the light.

Serge will help you to use your camera with manual mode, aperture priority and how to set the exposure correctly with histograms and depth of field. Serge will give you individual guidance on composition, choice of filters and lens' and tips, known only to professional photographers. The best place for hands on explanation is in the field in a real situation and this is where we understand the most, seeing the vision and learning how to capture it.
